Kylian Mbappe has been a difficult man for Real Madrid fans to figure out. Madridistas are used to player who are very talented and have high opinions of themselves, and many of their most beloved players over the years have had their tantrums, low points, spats with managers, daliances with the media, meltdowns, and issues with work rate. So Mbappe is but a good run of form and a trophy or two away from being back in their good graces.

But what Real Madrid fans can't seem to understand fully is if he is in it to win it with the club and set a legacy, or if he is just along for the ride and to make a name for himself. They were thrown for a loop when it was announced Mbappe may be out injured for the season, then he came back all of a sudden for El Clasico. And just as soon as he returned to training, he pulled up limping in the final minutes of practice and was posting about the game from the comfort of his own home.

Once again, though, just as soon as he suffered an injury, Kylian Mbappe is going to be back in the games for Real Madrid. Not but hours after Alvaro Arbeloa gave a cryptic post game update after the loss to Barcelona insinuating almost that Mbappe will decide if he wants to play and nobody really knows what's going on but him, it looks like he is ready to finsih the season.

Kylian Mbappe will finish up the season on the pitch

Per a report from MARCA, via the Madrid Zone, Mbappe wants to play the final three games of the 2025/26 La Liga season even after his recent ups and downs with an apparent hamstring overload. They report that his main reason for wanting to play is to have match fitness for the World Cup, though it had been previously reported that he was not wanting to play to be fully fit for the World Cup after the overload.

It is all very, very confusing. Media trust from Real Madrid fans is at an all time low, so anything even the papers around the city report will be taken with a grain of salt. But seeing Mbappe back for the final three games after all this back and forth about the injury will only make Madridistas more skeptical about the injury.

Plus, if he didn't want to play for Real Madrid at their lowest point in a decisive Clasico, then what does that say about his character and commitment to the squad? Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, and the other maligned players were there to face the music and defeat. Mbappe spared himself that but now wants to be back so he is ready for France? None of it will favor him to long time Madridistas.
