For many football fans this summer, - even Real Madrid fans - their eyes have been on Liverpool's transfer headlines. The English club has been splashing the cash left, right, and center, making quite the statement off the back of their Premier League-winning campaign.

The champions have signed a number of top talents from across Europe, with the total approaching £300 million. These players include Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, and Giorgi Mamardashvili.

For many clubs that would surely be enough of a summer transfer window, however, Liverpool don't seem to be done yet with the Premier League side eyeing two more explosive attacking signings, Newcastle's Alexander Isak, and Real Madrid's Rodrygo.

Both players could potentially be available for the right price and while Liverpool would ideally like to sign both, they've decided on their main target which could result in them missing out on the other, more needed signing,

With Liverpool reportedly aiming to sign Alexander Isak next, they could miss out on signing Rodrygo as both players would command significant transfer fees, presumably leaving money for only one of the two players.

Rodrygo has been rumored to potentially be leaving Los Blancos this summer, with Liverpool being the main landing spot, however, that transfer could be off now. Still only 24-years-old,

Rodrygo has his whole career in front of him and many suitors should he leave Real Madrid, so if Liverpool sign Isak, they could inadvertently lose the Brazilian to another club.

Rodrygo has gotten off to a cold start with new manager Xabi Alonso, playing only 92 minutes during the Club World Cup, starting only one of the club's six games. With Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr being the no-argument starting attackers, it leaves Rodrygo in a tricky position, constantly fighting for minutes behind the two superstars.

Rumors have been swirling all summer surrounding Rodrygo's future at Real Madrid, with the next few weeks being crucial in the saga. If Newcastle reject Liverpool's approaches for Isak, it wouldn't be surprising if Liverpool again come knocking for Rodrygo before the transfer window closes.
