Liverpool have become interested in signing Murillo from Nottingham Forest, who is also a Real Madrid transfer target.

Real Madrid have an incredible Brazilian core at their disposal. Over the last few years, they have attributed the fine work of Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior and Eder Militao to their successes in the Champions League and La Liga. Recently, they added Endrick to the fray as well.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid are not completely satisfied with their core of brilliant Brazilian flair. They have had their taste and they want more. It should come as no surprise that the best club in the world has taken influence from the best footballing nation in the world.

However, if they want to sign one of the best Brazilian defenders at the moment, they will face competition from Liverpool and Barcelona.

According to a report from Rousing the Kop, Liverpool will continue to monitor Murillo of Nottingham Forest. The Brazilian defender has a valuation set by Nottingham Forest at €95m. It is believed that the East Midlands side will not accept less than that.

Murillo is a key figure for Nottingham Forest. Given how incredible their season is going and that they are in third place, only six points behind Liverpool who are first, Murillo has been a key component to this.

Surprisingly, Nottingham Forest have conceded just 22 goals this season. Only Arsenal (21) and Liverpool (20) have conceded less in the Premier League. Nuno Espirito Santo's side is really proving they're around to stay.

The report states that alongside Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona will also continue to track his progress. I must say, it would make complete sense if Los Blancos were to acquire the fine young talent but perhaps I'm looking at this with Royal White tinted glasses.

It is important for all sides to remain respectful to Nottingham Forest. They are not some small club who have found themselves in this position. Nope, they have European pedigree and they will want to not only qualify for the Champions League, but make a point in the competition too.
