With a club like Real Madrid, a club that usually has some of the best players in the world, it's common for other clubs to show strong interest in trying to sign their players in an effort to solve the issues they are having at their club. That is exactly the case with Manchester United this summer. The Premier League side is going through somewhat of a midfield crisis and have been scouring the transfer market for potential solutions, and they have landed on a particular Real Madrid midfielder, and are prepared to do whatever it takes to sign him this summer.
As being reported by theMadridZone on X, Manchester United are prepared to go 'all in' to sign Aurelien Tchouameni this summer, with the Premier League club viewing his signing as an absolute necessity, and are ready to pay a lot of money to bring him in. Real Madrid could demand around €100 million for the midfielder, a number United would reportedly be prepared to match.
Real Madrid under serious pressure from United for Tchouameni
This isn't the first time Manchester United have been linked with a move for Tchouameni. United held a strong interest in the Frenchman when he was still playing for Monaco back in 2022 before ultimately deciding to make a move for Casemiro, which cleared the way for Real Madrid to bring in Tchouameni as their Casemiro replacement. Now following Casemiro's departure from United, the Premier League side also view Tchouameni as their perfect Casemiro replacement.
As mentioned earlier, United spent the early parts of this summer scouring the market for their perfect midfield solution and have landed on Tchouameni following Elliot Anderson's move to Manchester City and Sandor Tonali's move to Tottenham, as those two were also highly sought after targets. The Red Devils believe the 26-year-old adds everything they are looking for, with Tchouameni bringing loads of big game experience, a winning mentality and background, as well as strong defensive work and passing range.
For Tchouameni his situation at Real Madrid remains complicated and ever changing. It seems every week there's different reports about whether or not he is part of Mourinho's plans with the final decision to come after the Frenchman returns following the World Cup. Tchouameni's departure would also rely on Real Madrid finding a suitable replacement, and following their statement denying interest in Enzo Fernandez, their may not be any replacements that interest Los Blancos.
Tchouameni has proven time and time again in his time at Real Madrid the importance he brings to the team and was one of Real's best and most underrated players last season, so from an on pitch perspective, keeping the Frenchman is a must if the club hopes to get back to winning the big trophies. However after seeing what other players have been going for this transfer window, if a good enough offer comes in, it may be too hard for Los Blancos to turn down despite Tchouameni's importance.
