Real Madrid president Florentino Perez does not rest on his laurels whne he finds a superstar player he really wants to bring to the club, and the Royal White leader has been obsessed with bagging Michael Olise from Bayern Munich ever since the club watched him tear them to shreds in the Champions League quarterfinals last season.

This summer, Olise tied a World Cup record that Real Madrid legend Raymond Kopa set decades ago by assisting Kylian Mbappe, the Golden Boot winner, directly five times, meaning half of the Madrid striker's goals were off the boot of the Bayern Munich man.

So Real's interest in Olise has only accelerated as a result of the World Cup, and multiple media outlets in different countries have reported that both Mbappe and Madrid defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni have been able to successfully get Olise to decide on a Madrid transfer.

Real Madrid are getting serious

Now, Radio MARCA is reporting, via the Madrid Zone, that Real Madrid are seriously working on signing Michael Olise for this summer 2026 transfer window. MARCA say that the club are on the signing now and making a real push to bring him in.

That news will not surprise Madridistas, who have been waiting to hear a clear indication from the Spanish press that Florentino Perez and his crew are forging ahead with gusto on the signing of the 24 year old superstar.

Olise is one of the prime Ballon d'Or candidates after a great season with Bayern and France, and whlie he is at a disadvantage after Les Bleus did not win the World Cup, him nearly breaking Lionel Messi's assist record then making history this summer on the world stage are real feathers in his cap.

Real Madrid wil not care about their records. For them, Olise is a left footed right winger who can finally settle that role for the first time since Gareth Bale's decline literally eight years ago. Florentino wants a world class trio on the level of the BBC in the 2010s, and Olise on the right side is seen by Los Merengues as the final piece to the puzzle that can help Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe be even better in 2026/27 after a very difficult two seasons since the Frenchman's arrival from PSG.

Olise will be incredibly expensive and difficult to sign, but that is precisely why Real Madrid need to get serious and work hard to get him about a month before the window ends.
