There have been two major concerns plaguing Real Madrid this season: injuries and coaching concerns. A number of key players in the squad have been dealing with long-term injuries, which, along with coaching decisions, have affected the team's consistency, potentially costing the team trophies in the end.
One of the most vocal has been Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman was one of the few players in support of Xabi Alonso staying, but he was soon replaced by Alvaro Arbeloa. Mbappe initially had concerns about the newly appointed manager, but he now has concerns about a different part of the Real staff: the medical department.
Mbappe has Real Madrid concerns and it's not with management
Marca (via theMadridZone) reports that Mbappe is very upset with the Real Madrid medical staff as he believes they haven't given him any proper solution to his knee injury, which has been affecting him for close to three months.
Real Madridhave now confirmed via an official club statement that Mbappe has been undergoing tests by French doctors, who have diagnosed the Frenchman with a sprained left knee, and his treatment is ongoing and progress will be monitored.
Some at the club even believe the Frenchman may undergo surgery on his knee, but this has since been refuted. Even so, he will be spending a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Mbappe has been dealing with his injury since the end of December, and has missed four games in that time, and whenever Mbappe is trying his best to recovery fully, the club seems to rush him back when he's not fully fit as the team relies on him too much for him to be absent for too long.
The attacker was rushed back to play for January's Spanish Super Cup match against Barcelona and that seems to be where it all started to go downhill. While yes his progress is being monitored, there is still no timetable for his return, with the Frenchman seemingly set to miss the all important Champions League round of 16 tie with Machester City this month. Mbappe has been the most consistent and most important player for Real Madrid this season, so him being sidelined for an unknown period of time is what could bring this season crumbling down.
With the FIFA World Cup rapidly approaching, Mbappe won't want to take any risks with his knee and understandably so. In a day and age where knee injuries are so common, many would think that the biggest club in the world would have the best medical staff to tend to their players, but at Real Madrid, that is somehow not the case.
