Real Madrid have a habit of loaning out or selling their talented academy prospects just to end up bringing them back to the club a few years later. The club has done this with players like Brahim Diaz in the past, and it seems to be the same for players like Endrick, Nico Paz, and Jacobo Ramon this summer. However, there is another youngster the club is planning on bringing back, after just one year away.
As being reported by La Ser (via theMadridZone on X) Real Madrid have decided to bring back attacker Victor Munoz this summer. Real sold the 22-year-old to Osasuna last summer, and hold a €8 million buy-back clause which they plan to execute once the transfer window opens.
Real Madrid plan on bring back another youngster and it's not Nico Paz
Munoz came through the Castilla system and made his first team debut last season under Carlo Ancelotti but he made just four senior team appearances, and with the sheer quality and depth in the attack, it was always going to be nearly impossible for a player like Munoz to get regular first team minutes, so as a result, the club opted to sell him to Osasuna in the summer to develop as a player.
The Spaniard has been enjoying life at Osasuna this season baggin six goals and five assists across 31 appearances in all competitions and also grabbed his first international goal for Spain during this international break. His progress hasn't gone unnoticed by those in charge at Real Madrid, and with the club impressed by his step up, he could have earned himself a return to the Bernabeu.
The goal of academy products is always to break into the senior team and become a legend at the club you've been a part of since you were a child, but the question now arrises, would this be the right step for Munoz?
The attacking depth hasn't changed since his departure, and with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Gonzalo Garcia, Franco Mastantuono, and Brahim Diaz still at the club, not to mention Endrick who will return from loan in the summer, and there still isn't a place for Munoz in the team. Bringing him back would only stunt the great development his found for himself at Osasuna, something he should take into consideration once the summer transfer window rolls around in a few months time.
