Real Madrid are planning a major summer overhaul this summer off the back of a frankly disappointing season. One of the main pieces of this overhaul is planned to be Real Madrid re-signing midfielder Nico Paz from Como. His return has been planned for months now, however, unfortunetly for Real Madrid, the player may not be in line with those plans anymore.

As reported by Tutto Sport (via CentreGoals on X) Nico Paz wants to make a move to Inter Milan and is prepared to let Real Madrid know of his intentions to stay in Serie A beyond this season. The Nerrazzuri are ready to sign him in the summer, with Real Madrid surely expected to demand over €100 million should they part ways with the player.

Nico Paz snubbing Real Madrid should come as a warning

After being sent out on an initial loan in 2024 that became permanent, Nico Paz has found a new lease to life in Serie A. The 21-year-old has be one of if not the best player in Italy this season, bagging an impressive 10 goals and six assists in 30 matches this season, stamping his claim as one of the best youngsters in the world, with the brightest of bright futures ahead of him.

His progress hasn't gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid dillegently keeping an eye on their academy graduate as they plan for their future, with Paz planned to be a major part of the next generation of Los Blancos. It seemed as though it was all but confirmed that the Argentine would be making his return in the summer, however the player may be having a change of heart, and honestly it's hard to blame him.

Paz has been thriving in Serie A as a regular starter so why would he want to return to Real Madrid where gametime is hard to come by? Paz himself was already loaned out due to a lack of game time same with other players like Endrick, so what would returning to the club do for their careers? Nothing. If he moves back to Los Blancos odds are he'll just go back to sitting the bench, so deciding to stay in Serie A where his talents are on full display would be a solid decision by the player.

The Argentine has been thriving at Como and has shown that he has the talent to make the jump to a bigger side in the summer and he has his eyes on Inter Milan. Real Madrid will surely be hesitant to part with the player given the plans they have for him, but with the player himself strongly pushing for the move to Inter, it would be hard to deny him the move, especially if the price is right.
