And if that ends up being the case, even Bayern Munich realize that they will be put into a difficult corner.
It is a sudden twist in the tale of a transfer saga that will continue to grip the footballing world, especially once the World Cup is over and there is nothing else compelling in the sport to talk about. Olise is a potential 200 million euro transfer, young, left footed, all around great, coming off a season in which he competed for the Ballon d'Or, and coming off a season in which he broke Lionel Messi's assists record.
Olise is widely seen around Real Madrid as the missing piece to their attacking trio, as Florentino Perez thinks that the club needs a player like Olise so that Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe can be at their best, given Real Madrid really have not had a competent right winger over the past couple of seasons, having won the 2023/24 Champions League with more of a front two and Jude Bellingham as a false 10 behind Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior.
There is no doubting Olise's class, and so for Real Madrid, the chances of signing him are there, all dependent upon the man himself.
