Real Madrid have built up quite the reputation for recruiting the right youngsters and then developing them into top players at Santiago Bernabeu. Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham and several others arrived at the club as highly-rated prospects and have developed into bonafide superstars in the Spanish capital.

The strategy has served Real Madrid immensely well on the pitch too. They are one win away from doing the Champions League and La Liga double this season. Naturally, one would expect Los Blancos to continue on the path.

Leny Yoro is one of the latest wonderkids to be linked with a move to Real Madrid. The Frenchman has been fantastic for Lille and has already made 60 appearances for the club at just 18 years of age.

Naturally, Yoro appears to be on the radar of almost every top club in Europe. But he seemingly prefers a move to Real Madrid.

As reported by Rousing The Kop, journalist Graeme Bailey said about the situation of Yoro:

"In terms of Yoro, from what I’m told the English clubs who are interested in him, which is a lot – Chelsea, United, Liverpool – they all love him. But they think he wants to go to Real Madrid.

“So, that’s the issue with him. I’m not saying he would turn down any of these clubs, but from what I’m told his preference is Madrid."

Of course, it would be very difficult for Real Madrid to sign Yoro, even if he did indeed prefer a move to the Spanish club. It is expected to take a significant transfer fee in order to convince Lille to part ways with him.

If Real Madrid are reluctant to meet that figure, then other clubs would be handed a major boost in the race to sign Yoro from Lille. It is believed that the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and several others are also interested in the Lille centre-back.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Yoro. But it does seem that he is headed to a top European club, if he does end up leaving Lille in the near future.
