David Alaba (loser)
Less so from a tactical perspective but more from a personal standpoint, David Alaba would have been excited to play alongside Alphonso Davies again. The two spent two years together at Bayern Munich when Davies first broke onto the scene.
If Davies does join Real Madrid on a pre-contract agreement, then it will be Alaba who is key to welcoming Davies to the squad, showing him the way of life in the Spanish capital.
Carlo Ancelotti (loser)
There is no denying that Carlo Ancelotti will feel incredibly frustrated to miss out on Alphonso Davies. The Italian boss is the type of character who is proud but never satisfied, so he would have seen the potential Davies arrival as the missing piece to his high-standard puzzle.
Still, it does now mean that Ancelotti can focus on other positions within the squad which need addressing. Either way, his transfer plan has been completely derailed this summer.
Who do you think Real Madrid should sign instead of Alphonso Davies?
