Real Madrid have seen many great players come and go. Especially since Florentino Perez took presidency of the club, there transfer decisions have been meticulous and rarely have they regretted any decisions. That said, here are three Real Madrid transfers which generated the most profit for the club.

As a disclaimer, this article is intended for fun hindsight. For continuity purposes, all transfer fees will be taken from Transfermarkt and to calculate "profit", Real Madrid's signing price will be deducted from their eventual sale price. Since it is only the transfer fees taken into account, please do not rely on the figures for accurate profit margins.
1. Casemiro (€64.65m profit)
Casemiro is a Real Madrid legend, having won everything there is to win at club level with Los Blancos.
It is easy to make the mistake of assuming Casemiro started his career at Real Madrid, given the amount of time he dedicated in the football capital. However, Real Madrid actually signed Casemiro from Sao Paulo for a transfer fee of €6m, paid by Real Madrid.
In hindsight considering everything Casemiro achieved at Real Madrid, this €6m fee seems measly. It is particularly small if you were to consider that Real Madrid ultimately sold Casemiro to Manchester United in 2022 for a fee of €70.65m, paid to Real Madrid.
This generated €64.65m in profit for Real Madrid, making Casemiro their most profitable transfer in history.
