Real Madrid are interested in signing Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Liverpool academy graduate has entered the Real Madrid transfer radar. However, it is more than likely that he will be targeted as a free agent in the 2025 summer transfer window, rather than right now.

Still, the interest is certainly there from Carlo Ancelotti, who has become a particular fan of the way in which Trent Alexander-Arnold plays the game. A club the size of Real Madrid would like to sign the best players in the world, so it really does not come as any surprise that they have grown interested in signing Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool.

Here are the main 3 reasons why Real Madrid would like to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold...

3 reasons why Real Madrid would like to sign Trent Alexander Arnold

1. His friendship with Jude Bellingham

Real Madrid is a club with a rich history of British players. They know know the influence the Brits can have on the Real Madrid club culture, with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Gareth Bale and David Beckham proving this.

Currently, Trent Alexander-Arnold has a great friendship with Jude Bellingham, one which they formed on international duty with England. Both players played a key role in England reaching their second consecutive EURO 2024 final this summer.

Bringing that friendship to Real Madrid could be pivotal, as the power of international friendships has been proven with the likes of Toni Kroos and Antonio Rudiger, Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, etc.

2. His big-game approach

Trent Alexander-Arnold may not be everyone's cup of tea, if you pardon the pun, but nobody can deny he is a man for the big occasion. Key moments stick out, such as scoring the winning penalty to send England to the semifinal of EURO 2024 and providing the quick corner for Divock Origi to pounce against Barcelona.

Real Madrid will certainly be involved in big games in the future, as they hope to continue their dominance on not just Spain, but the world. Having a player with the big-game pedigree such as Trent will only solidify their winning mentality.

3. Range of passing to replace Toni Kroos

It is an impossible task to replace Toni Kroos, but the closer Real Madrid can get, the better.

Trent Alexander-Arnold not only has the versatility to play in midfield but he at least has the range of passing to fill that Toni Kroos void. I am still under the impression that his strongest position is at full-back but there's no denying that the versatility could be of benefit to Carlo Ancelotti, particularly as he navigates the Toni Kroos retirement.
