Jude Bellingham (loser)

From a tactical and personal perspective, Jude Bellingham would lose out from Toni Kroos being sold to Real Madrid.

The England international has made a name for himself since joining Real Madrid in 2023 for playing as an advanced midfielder. However, Real Madrid are believed to target Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen as Kroos' replacement (BILD). This means that Bellingham is likely to undergo a positional change.

Since Bellingham is more comfortable with playing a deeper midfield role than Wirtz is, it is likely that Bellingham will convert to fill Kroos' deeper-lying role, while Wirtz takes Bellingham's current position.

It is difficult for any player to be asked to undergo a positional change, regardless of their level. Particularly since Bellingham appears to be better as an attacking midfielder than a deeper-lying one. Still, he has the quality to undergo any task Carlo Ancelotti sets him.
