All in all, the consensus is that many former Real Madrid players recall positive stories about playing for Real Madrid. After all, it is known as the football capital of the world and one of the biggest clubs in the history of the game for a reason.

However, among all the positive stories, there are some unfortunate tales of former Real Madrid players falling out with the fans. With that being said, here are the 4 most hated Real Madrid players of all-time.

1. Alvaro Morata

Kicking off this list in the worst way, modern fans will understand why Alvaro Morata leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of the Bernabeu faithful.

The Spanish striker came out of the Real Madrid academy and the club personally did all they could do to support his progress, including when they brought him back from Juventus to elevate his profile.

For reasons unknown to outsiders like myself, Morata has stated that when he returned to Real Madrid for his second stint, he felt like he was being treated as a kid again, despite impressing during his two years at Juventus (TNT Sports, 2017).

Morata then spent one season at Real Madrid for his second stint before he was rightfully shipped out to Chelsea. He didn't make a name for himself in the Premier League and since then, his most notable stint has been with Real Madrid's rivals, Atletico Madrid.

Playing for a club's local rivals is not the best move if you'd like to keep your legacy intact. Unfortunately for Morata, though, he never had a legacy with Real Madrid. Instead, he threw his toys out of the pram because he was not good enough to make it with all the world-class players at Real.
