1. Casemiro (€7m)
In at number one has to be Casemiro. The Real Madrid legend was signed for €7m, after returning to his original club Porto on loan. It was during his second attempt at breaking into the Real Madrid first-team which was the most successful.
Casemiro soon established himself as a valued player in the Spanish capital. Playing in the first team for nine years, Casemiro made 222 Liga appearances (including one on loan) and during this time, cemented himself into the club's history books forever, becoming a club legend.
Casemiro picked up an impressive five Champions League trophies and three Liga titles, among other domestic and European honours. He was eventually sold to Manchester United in 2022, where he continued his success but he will forever be known as a Real Madrid legend and for a fee of just €7m, has to be considered as one of the best bargain transfers of all-time.
