2. Fernando Hierro (€811k)

One of the greatest players to ever play for Real Madrid, he could certainly do a job in defence. A player who lives and breathes Real Madrid, Fernando Hierro put his position in the squad in severe jeopardy after standing up to Florentino Perez but this only granted him more respect by the Madrid faithful, as Hierro was absolutely right to do so.

Hierro is an exceptional example of a true leader and one of the first names who springs to mind when thinking about "Mr Real Madrid".
