4. Alvaro Morata (€66m)

Alvaro Morata was sold by Real Madrid twice as he came through their historic youth academy. However, it was the second time in which he was sold which grants him the title of being the fourth most expensive Real Madrid sale of all-time.

Morata spent five years at Real Madrid, across two different stints. In total, Morata netted 25 La Liga goals across those two stints and during his second, he was truly proving himself as a world-class goal-scorer. However, he understandably struggled for minutes, given the incredible talent ahead of him in the pecking order.

Therefore, in 2017, Alvaro Morata was sold to Chelsea for an impressive transfer fee of €66m. Ultimately, it wasn't to be for Morata in the Premier League and he soon returned to Madrid two years later but it was a loan spell to Atletico Madrid, where he ended up signing permanently before joining Juventus after that spell.

A true journeyman who has never truly looked comfortable, he still makes the list as the fourth most expensive Real Madrid sale of all-time.
