5. Mesut Ozil (€47m)

Last but certainly not least, it is one of the greatest playmakers and passers of the ball of all-time, Mesut Ozil. The Germany international was sold by Real Madrid in 2013, after three incredible years in the football capital. Ultimately, Mesut Ozil was destined to play for Arsenal.

The Germany international was sold to Arsene Wenger's Arsenal in 2013, in what was a revolutionary transfer for them. It came as unexpected news, on transfer deadline day and Arsene Wenger shelled out an impressive €47m to sign Ozil, a transfer fee which was big at the time, particularly for Arsenal's standards.

Ozil went on to win a World Cup but he received mixed reception in North London. He was undeniably their greatest technical player but his body language and work-rate was under question by English fans. After all, the Premier League has different requirements than La Liga. Still, Ozil loves Arsenal and *most* Arsenal fans love Ozil.
