Yep, throwing another Arsenal midfielder into the mix here. However, unlike Ozil, Martin Odegaard has been a more consistent success at Arsenal. In fact, the former Real Madrid prodigy has completely turned around his career in the English capital, even earning the right to wear the captains armband from last season.

Odegaard is one of the best midfielders in the world but looking back at his career, not many people will remember him for his time with Real Madrid. In fact, most of his time in La Liga was spent out on loan. Thankfully for the player, though, he stumbled across Arsenal and made a name for himself under Mikel Arteta, who ultimately signed him on a permanent deal.

It is hard to imagine that Martin Odegaard could do much more to prove himself at Real Madrid. After all, he played alongside some of the best midfielders of all-time including Ballon d'Or winner Luka Modric. Still, he makes this list as a player who left Real Madrid too soon, through no fault of his own.
