2. Arda Guler
Arda Guler will hope to have more game time in the 2024/25 season than he received last campaign. A good EURO 2024 tournament with Turkey has certainly bolstered his place in the pecking order but for the same reason as Rodrygo, Arda Guler may be affected by the new arrivals.
As a young player, Guler is certainly a project for the future. However, his performances at the end of last season and the Euros shows that the Turkey whizz-kid is developing ahead of his time-frame, putting Carlo Ancelotti in a predicament.
But the Italian boss is one of the calmest figures in football. He will appreciate Guler's advanced development but he will see no need to put him in the starting lineup at the expense of other world-beaters. He will likely get more game-time next season but arguably not the amount his impressive performances warrant.
