Real Madrid don't need to be as active as other clubs in the summer transfer window. In fact, they have already confirmed two big deals, with Endrick and Kylian Mbappe joining the front-line for the 2023/24 campaign. Carlo Ancelotti has a squad which is bolstered with some of the best talents in Europe.
However, as a proud but never satisfied manager, Ancelotti will notice some of the weaker points in the squad. It must be said that Real Madrid's defence is the next priority for Ancelotti, most notably to sign a new full-back.
Ferland Mendy is an excellent option but when a golden opportunity presents itself in the form of signing Alphonso Davies at a reduced price, Ancelotti would be silly not to take it. Mendy is exceptional, but Davies is world-class and one of the best in his position.
That said, should Real Madrid fans be anticipating Alphonso Davies' arrival anytime soon? Not quite, is the answer. While the Spanish capital gets what it wants more often than not, Ancelotti and Perez are in no rush to make their signings. Therefore, Davies will be a slow-burner, with the added confidence that Davies would be keen to represent the biggest club in the world.

Alphonso Davies transfer alternative dreams of Real Madrid return
One player who is keeping a close eye on the Alphonso Davies to Real Madrid transfer situation is former Real Madrid player Theo Hernandez. As a player who is held in high regard in the football capital of the world, he has gone on to make a great name for himself in Europe.
Most notably, Hernandez has achieved great things with AC Milan since joining them in 2019. In 2022, he lifted the famous Serie A trophy with the Milan giants.
But to this day, he still dreams of making a name for himself in Madrid. Despite representing Atletico in his earlier days, he understandably has grown a love for the best club in the world, Real.
According to SPORT, Theo Hernandez would like to return to Real Madrid to finish where he left off. It is believed that the full-back is closely eyeing the situation of Alphonso Davies and he will take any opportunity he can get to convince Real Madrid to bring him back.
There is certainly a place in the squad, as Real Madrid would not be pursuing Alphonso Davies if that wasn't the case. It is worth considering Theo Hernandez, should the Davies deal fall through for any reason.
