Arsenal are heavily involved in Real Madrid transfer news ahead of the summer transfer window. Not only are they targeting two Real Madrid players (Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo), but they also have their eyes on a particular Real Madrid transfer target.

It is understandable, since Mikel Arteta is an obvious follower of Spanish football, given that this is his home country and he has a keen eye for Spanish talent. However, his recent transfer target which he plans to steal from Real Madrid's grasp comes from Brazil, with both Arsenal and Real Madrid boasting a great Brazilian core in their squads.

Arsenal hope to advance in race for Real Madrid and Chelsea target

According to Brazilian journalist Thiago Fernandes (via The Hard Tackle), Arsenal are planning to get an advantage over Chelsea and Real Madrid to sign the upcoming Brazilian wonder-kid Estevao Willian from Palmeiras. The 17-year-old is expected to cost around €45m since this is the asking price set by the Brazilian club.

It is stated that Willian would prefer to play for a club who can offer him a clear route to the starting lineup since it is key to his development that he has a plan in place, so as not to rot away on the bench.

Real Madrid already have Endrick joining this summer from Palmeiras, so it would be interesting to see them pursue a move for his teammate and fellow prodigy Estevao Willian. However, there may not be as much room in the Real Madrid squad next season, hence Arsenal's eagerness to get a headstart in the race.

As mentioned, there will be many interesting discourses between Arsenal and Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. As two clubs with similar ambitions, this is only to be expected. Both clubs have bankrolled their finances, so they are expected to make big signings.

No matter which club he ends up at, Estevao Willian is expected to be the next big thing.

Where do you think Estevao Willian will end up?
