Aurelien Tchouameni is a player whose Real Madrid future is constantly in doubt as he continues to be linked by the media with a move to England. A number of top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool, are rumoured to hold an interest in the French midfielder. He is a key part of Carlo Ancelotti's plans at the moment though.

There is very little reason to believe that Tchouameni would want to leave Real Madrid anytime soon. But as we all know, things can change quickly in football.

As reported by CaughtOffside, it would be a big surprise to see Tchouameni leaving Real Madrid this season. But from next summer onwards, a lot will depend on how confident he still is of keeping his place in the team, particularly when Eduardo Camavinga is back available again.

Of course, Tchouameni is a player that Ancelotti knows he can rely on. The Frenchman has not only been important in midfield for Real Madrid but also been called upon to fill in at centre-back at times.

This season, there is a very real possibility that we could see that happen once again. Real Madrid are particularly light on options when it comes to their defence. Nacho Fernandez brought an end to his epic journey at the club and left this summer. On the other hand, David Alaba is yet to recover from the injury that he suffered last season.

For now, it looks like Tchouameni's place in the starting XI is pretty secure. You never know at a club like Real Madrid though, where the competition for places is always high and the demand is to win every game they participate in. Let's see what the future holds.
