Bayern Munich team news

The good news for Bayern Munich is that Real Madrid transfer target Alphonso Davies will be available for selection by Thomas Tuchel again, after serving his suspension in the second leg against Arsenal.

Konrad Laimer and Matthijs de Ligt were ejected early into the weekend match against Frankfurt. This was likely precautionary and Thomas Tuchel has not yet ruled them out for the match against Real Madrid.

In his own words (via Football Espana), Tuchel said: "Mathijs de Ligt has pain in his knee ligament and Konny Laimer sprained his ankle. They were both in so much pain they couldn't continue. Now we wait on tests and hope we can solve it before Tuesday."

Star player Jamal Musiala also missed the match against Frankfurt, with Tuchel saying (via Bavarian Football Works): "It’s a tendon irritation that is really hindering him. He had to stop training yesterday, now we’re giving it our all for Tuesday,”

It is a race against time for Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry and Dayot Upamecano to be fit for this match.

Sacha Boey, Gabriel Marusic, Tarek Buchmann and Bouna Sarr have all been long-term absentees for Bayern Munich so they will not feature in this match. Furthermore, Kingsley Coman is ruled out of the Real Madrid first leg, hopefully back by the middle of May.

Real Madrid team news

Needless to say, Real Madrid injury news is much kinder to Ancelotti.

Jude Bellingham was rested at the weekend, so he is expected to be back in action for this match against Bayern Munich. So too were Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo, both of which are expected to be welcomed returnees for the midweek match against Bayern in Munich.

David Alaba and Thibaut Courtois remain injured and so they are ruled out.

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid prediction

A draw away from home would be adequate for Real Madrid and that's what I can see Carlo Ancelotti fighting for on his return to Munich. There will be goals, though. I will go with Bayern Munich 2-2 Real Madrid.
