Real Madrid find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation right now, having drawn two of their first three league games this season. That has left them four points behind Barcelona in the La Liga title race already. Now, everybody recognises that it is way too early to panic about the situation. But, it is important to iron out some issues as quickly as possible.

The penalty-taker situation is one that has been the topic of discussion in recent times. Both Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior are candidates to be first-choice from the spot.

Both have proven themselves to be capable penalty-takers over the years. But for the time being, it looks like Carlo Ancelotti does not have a clear preference between the two and the spot kicks will be decided based on the situation.

As reported by Forbes, Ancelotti said regarding the penalty-taker situation involving Mbappe and Vinicius:

"It is right to give the responsibility to both Mbappé and Vinícius, so I prefer that they decide because I have a lot of confidence in them.

“It will depend on how they are in the match and what each one needs."

At the moment, Mbappe could certainly do with a bit of confidence by getting his first league goal for the club. If he is still stuck on zero and Real Madrid get a penalty in their next game, it might be a good idea to hand the ball to the Frenchman.

Of course, Real Madrid have a lot more to work on at the moment than just penalties. They clearly have not adjusted to the new system yet and meshed with Mbappe. That will take some time. It is only natural.

But once they get going, do not expect them to stop. The pieces are all there for this to be one of the best Real Madrid teams in history. Now, it is just about showing enough patience for them to fit together and start working as a unit rather than a group of individuals.
