Carlo Ancelotti has new standard for Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid
By Kian Long
So far in his career, Kylian Mbappe has been known to exceed all expectations on the world stage. Despite not playing for a European superpower except for his national team, Kylian Mbappe has won seven Ligue 1 titles (including one with Monaco). He has also won the World Cup and is nearing 200 senior goals, despite ageing just 25 years old.
At Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe is widely anticipated to step up a level, which would be historic for both his personal development and of course, the development of Real Madrid as a club. Los Blancos pride themselves on their great history and legacy in European football but with Kylian Mbappe joining alongside the likes of other youngsters such as Arda Guler, Endrick, Rodrygo and Vinicius, the future is also looking pretty bright for Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti has new standard for Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid
Carlo Ancelotti unfortunately will not be with Real Madrid for the long-term future due to his age. However, the Italian boss will (at least) be there to see the first year of Kylian Mbappe. So, Ancelotti is pivotal to paving the way for the French superstar.
According to a report from Forbes, Carlo Ancelotti has warned Kylian Mbappe that a lot is expected of him, but he has all the faith in the world that Mbappe will meet those expectations.
In his own words, Ancelotti said: "First of all, he is going to bring his quality as well as his composure, attitude and dedication. [Mbappe] is going to have to adapt for this team as everyone has had to. We are very happy he is here because he has great qualities and – I'm sure, given his personality – he will adjust quickly.”
If anybody is aware of the weight of the Real Madrid badge, it's Carlo Ancelotti. The Don, as he is known, is one of the most successful managers in the club's history. Therefore, he will understand the pressure which Mbappe is set to face in his opening months but he will also be there to support Mbappe.
