Real Madrid do not have much squad depth at the moment but despite that, there are certain players whose futures at Santiago Bernabeu are up in the air. In most of these cases, it is because their current deals with the club are running down or they are not getting enough playing time. In some instances, both.

One such player is Andriy Lunin. There has been some confusion about the 24-year-old's contract situation and whether it runs out this summer or the one after that.

Lunin has gotten a bit of playing time lately and seems to be competing with Kepa for the first-team gloves. It does not really matter whether he comes out on top or not though, because Thibaut Courtois is expected to take his place between the posts when he does return from his injury in the future, most probably next season.

So, it is very possible that Lunin could want to leave the club in the near future. And it looks like Chelsea have their eyes on him.

Chelsea ready to offer £25 million summer signing in swap deal for Real Madrid player

As reported by Don Diario (via The Hard Tackle), Chelsea are interested in Lunin. They want to sign the 24-year-old goalkeeper from Real Madrid in a part-exchange deal and are ready to offer summer signing Robert Sanchez.

Chelsea signed Sanchez in the summer from Brighton & Hove Albion for a transfer fee believed to be around £25 million. He has had an up-and-down time at Stamford Bridge.

Sanchez is an interesting player. On one hand, he is capable of pulling off some remarkable saves and on top form, is one of the best in the Premier League. But at the same time, he is capable of making some unbelievable errors, which means he is not the most reliable of goalkeepers.
