Real Madrid have already added a couple of fantastic players to their roster this summer in Kylian Mbappe and Endrick. That will only further strengthen a team that won the Champions League and La Liga last season. That must be a scary thought from rivals around Europe and Spain. And do not be surprised if Los Blancos make more additions before the transfer window slams shut.

One position where they might need to make an addition is goalkeeper. Andriy Lunin's future at the club is uncertain as things stand.

Lunin was the starter for the majority of last season in the absence of Thibaut Courtois. And he did a fantastic job, helping Real Madrid to league glory and the Champions League final.

But once Courtois returned to fitness, he was back in the starting XI while Lunin found himself on the bench again despite his glorious displays through the course of the season. So, it is not hard to see why he might be considering a move away from Santiago Bernabeu this summer with interest in his signature at its peak.

Another goalkeeper Real Madrid had in their ranks last season was Kepa Arrizabalaga. He was brought in on loan from Chelsea when Courtois got injured. he made a decent start to the season but eventually lost his place in the team to Lunin. Could the Spaniard be back at Santiago Bernabeu on a permanent basis despite his underwhelming stint?

As tweeted by Fabrizio Romano, Kepa is giving total priority to Real Madrid in case Lunin leaves. He received z formal proposal from Al Ittihad but is still waiting for the Spanish club.

Bringing in someone like Kepa as a backup option would not be the worst idea in the world. He is experienced and was decent when given a chance last season even though Lunin outperformed him. Of course, a lot will depend on the kind of transfer fee for the Spaniard, who they signed for a world-record fee back in 2018. Incidentally, he was their replacement for Courtois, who joined Real Madrid that summer.
