Real Madrid have built up a stellar reputation for themselves when it comes to identifying talents from around the world and developing them into first-team superstars at the Santiago Bernabeu. That has been one of the key reasons behind the club's continued success on the pitch despite not shelling out nearly as much as they used to on transfers.
Real Madrid have been particularly successful when it comes to scouting Brazilian players. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are already bona fide superstars. And Endrick, who has not even arrived at the club yet, seems to be headed for superstardom himself.
Endrick is one of the most highly-rated Brazilian talents in a while. One of his teammates at Palmeiras has a lot of hype surrounding him as well though and is believed to be on the radar of Real Madrid.
Estevao Willian might not have played a ton of football so far in his career but he has already earned comparisons with Lionel Messi. Unsurprisingly, Real Madrid are believed to be one of the clubs trying to sign him but unfortunately, it looks like Chelsea have already made the first move.
Chelsea submit €60m bid for Real Madrid target
As reported by GOAL, according to journalist Jorge Nicola, Chelsea are keen on signing Estevao and have reportedly placed an offer worth a total of €60 million (£51m/$63m) for the Brazilian wonderkid. The deal works out to a fee of €40 million (£34m/$42m) plus €20 million (£17m/$21m) in add-ons.
Of course, Chelsea have been very active in recent years when it comes to signing some of the best youngsters from around world football. That has not translated into success on the pitch though.
As things stand, Chelsea are 9th in the Premier League table and have not won a trophy since their change in ownership a couple of years back. Would it be the best place for someone like Estevao?
