Real Madrid have a plethora of world-class talent available to them next season. Adding to their already world-class core will be Kylian Mbappe. Also, Endrick will arrive with every intention of matching the incredible ability in the squad. But what room does this leave for new arrivals, particularly those who are at the standard to start every match for Real Madrid?

Dani Carvajal attempts to talk Man City star into Real Madrid transfer

Well, aside from the obvious Real Madrid transfer targets, one Real Madrid legend has turned into both a talent scout and a talent recruiter. Hilariously, Dani Carvajal has taken the Real Madrid propaganda to EURO 2024, whereby he would like to recruit one of his countryman to leave Man City and sign for Real Madrid.

Speaking in a interview with El Partidazo de COPE (h/t GOAL), Dani Carvajal admitted to pestering Man City star Rodri while on international duty to leave Man City and sign for Real Madrid.

In his own words, Carvajal admitted: "Yes, without a doubt, I tell every day: 'Leave Manchester, there is no sun, come to Madrid because we need you, and you are from here in Madrid'.

Carvajal is not wrong. It has been a horrendous summer in the United Kingdom, with around two days of combined sunshine. Being from Madrid, renowned for its great weather, stunning architecture and of course, being the football capital of the world, the weather must surely be weighing down on Rodri in England.

However, Rodri is achieving great things in Manchester. It goes without saying that Manchester City are the dominant team in England right now. They also finally achieved success in Europe last season, with Rodri scoring the winning goal in the Champions League.

To Man City, Rodri is irreplaceable. They cannot afford to lose him and it is shown by their habit of dropping points in games where he is absent through injury or suspension. So, Man City clearly put Rodri on a pedestal, but what is Rodri's perception of living in Manchester?

Well, Carvajal said: "He says: 'Yes, well, I have a contract, there are no clauses here.' It gives me pause, it gives me delay, but it would be the signing, without a doubt. Being Spanish, in Madrid... I think it would fit perfectly."

It would be a perfect fit, without a doubt. With Toni Kroos retiring last season, the logical next step would be signing Rodri from Man City. After all, he is one of the only players in the world capable of filling Kroos' massive void.

However, little is reported on Real Madrid's interest in Rodri at this stage, so fans shouldn't rule it out for the future, but neither should they anticipate a move this summer. There are also Rodri's former ties to Atletico Madrid to factor in here. From Real's perspective, they would happily get one up on their local rivals, but it depends where Rodri stands.

Do you think Real Madrid should sign Rodri of Man City in the future?
