The talk of the summer will be Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid. While the transfer seems to be all but confirmed, there is still a lot of hype and anticipation surrounding the expected transfer. From Real Madrid's perspective, it is one of their biggest signings this century as Mbappe has the potential to leave a great legacy with the club.

There are a lot of angles to look at this transfer but one angle which often goes overlooked is how the deal could impact the current crop of Real Madrid players. After all, they are all human too, so they will have their own individual considerations when it comes to this transfer.

Dani Carvajal makes a superb Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid admission

Dani Carvajal is one of the more senior players in the Real Madrid roster and he has spoken rather openly about the deal. As per Partidazo COPE (translated by Get Football News Spain), Carvajal said:

“The arrival of Mbappe doesn’t generate jealousy. The people who have been at a club the longest are the ones in charge of making sure that in the locker room, everyone is going in the same direction. When one goes off the rails, a little bit, grab him by the ear.”

For Carvajal to name-drop Mbappe is exciting enough for fans but what's more exciting is that Mbappe will get the same treatment which made the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka club legends. Both are great examples of players who arrived with great pedigree but were shown the guidelines of success by more senior players already with Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe already has great experience, despite ageing at just 25 years old. He will enter the prime stages of his career whilst he is with Real Madrid, so it's good that the players are willing to take him under their wing and act as great mentors. Part of development is recognising when you are doing things wrong, so for Carvajal and other senior Madrid players to "grab him by the ear" will be huge.

Meanwhile, Arsenal could capitalise on Mbappe's signing by signing this Los Blancos forward.
