Eduardo Camavinga has enjoyed a meteoric rise at Real Madrid over the past year. His debut season at the club had been solid and he played a key part in the Champions League win. But most of it was as an impact substitute. And while easy to forget, the Frenchman was struggling to get into the team in the first half of the 2022/23 campaign.

There were even rumours that he could be sent out on loan or be included as part of the deal to sign Jude Bellingham. Fortunately, neither of those things happened. Instead, Camavinga established himself as a key player for Real Madrid after the World Cup break.

Camavinga is currently out injured and fans will be hoping to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible. And hopes are that he will be back soon after the winter break.

Camavinga is building his own Real Madrid legacy right now. When it comes to a dream teammate, it looks like he would have liked to play with one of the club's all-time greats.

While talking to JD Football, Camavinga was asked if he could play with one legend, who it would be. The Real Madrid player did not hesitate in naming Zinedine Zidane.

Of course, Zidane is one of the all-time greats. He played for several years at Real Madrid. His biggest successes with the club came as a manager. He guided them to an unbelievable Champions League threepeat, a feat that will most probably not be matched in our lifetimes. Over his two stints in the Santiago Bernabeu hot seat, he won several other trophies as well.

Of course, there is the French connection between Zidane and Camavinga as well. So, his choice should not come as a surprise.
