Real Madrid are expected to make some major signings in the upcoming summer transfer window. After a saga that has lasted for years, Kylian Mbappe could finally make his long-awaited move to Santiago Bernabeu. Alphonso Davies has been heavily linked with the club as well, while Leny Yoro of Lille, dubbed the 'Next Raphael Varane' in France, is also said to be on their radar.

At the same time, it will be important for Real Madrid not to lose key players. This is a squad that is already challenging at both domestic and European levels. There is no need to considerably change up things, just make slight adjustments.

One of Real Madrid's best performers this season has been Andriy Lunin. His rise has been unexpected and could lead the club to change their initial plans.

Lunin was initially expected to leave Real Madrid in the summer, having spent his entire time at the club playing as a backup option. But over the course of the campaign, he has established himself as the starting goalkeeper for Los Blancos. And now, him leaving would be considered a blow for the club.

Fabrizio Romano confirms Real Madrid have new offer ready

As tweeted by Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have already prepared a new contract proposal for Lunin. His current deal expires in June 2025 but the club definitely want him to stay. It will depend on the player's decision.

Of course, Lunin will have an interesting decision to make. He is starting right now, but that is not expected to be the case when Thibaut Courtois is back to full fitness.

The way Lunin has played this season, a number of top clubs might be ready to offer him a starting role in their team. So, should he sign the extension with Real Madrid or take a risk and make a move in the summer transfer window?
