Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the Rodrygo to Liverpool transfer rumour. In fact, Real Madrid fans might have nothing to worry about.

Rodrygo is having a great start to the season for Real Madrid. Despite fears heading into the season that he would be outcasted, Rodrygo has earned his place in the starting lineup.

The Brazil international is hungry to achieve. Everybody knows about his obvious technical ability but behind the scenes, he is a tenacious hard-worker and he believes he can be among the best players in the world.

Even with new arrivals Endrick and Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo is still firing on all cylinders for Real Madrid. So, it's natural that links are emerging with Premier League side Liverpool.

According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, no concrete moves have been made to singal Liverpool want to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid. In fact, he struggled to provide a definite answer, because he has seen or heard nothing.

In his own words, Fabrizio Romano said: “It’s difficult for me even to comment the Rodrygo and Darwin Núñez rumours, guys. I don’t even know where these links are coming from. Núñez to Atlético Madrid, Rodrygo to Liverpool… trust me, now it’s all completely quiet."

Fabrizio Romano then continued: “Rodrygo also extended his Real Madrid contract less than one year ago and he’s only focused on Real Madrid. That’s it, nothing more to say.”

Depending on how you look at it, it must be said that Rodrygo is not playing like a player who wants to leave Real Madrid. If anything, he only looks hungry to prove himself to Carlo Ancelotti.

So far this season, Rodrygo has scored three league goals. It is a respectable return from six league starts, particularly considering Real Madrid's struggles at the start of this season.

Rodrygo was recently left out of the Ballon d'Or shortlist. It was a controversial call and one which was even questioned by the player himself. Certainly, he should have been in the shortlist, considering all he's achieved in 2024.

Next up for Real Madrid, they will face LOSC in the second Champions League match. Rodrygo provided an assist and played excellently in the first Champions League match, so he is definitely in line to start this match.

Interestingly, Real Madrid will also face Liverpool in the Champions League group phase.
