Father of Liverpool star downplays recent Real Madrid transfer links

Real Madrid find themselves in a position of needing to replace Toni Kroos in the midefield... Or do they? Nobody is denying the void which will be felt by losing the club legend to retirement but the midfield is a position which Real Madrid are stacked pretty heavily in, so they may not be in an immediate rush to sign a replacement.
However, there are plenty of opportunities out there on the transfer market. Real Madrid is a club which thinks one step ahead, and they often have many of their transfers sorted out by the time of the previous transfer window. Scheduling ahead like this has been the difference between Real Madrid and their European competitors and is the reason why they continue to dominate.
One player who Real Madrid are said to be interested in the 2025 summer transfer window is Alexis Mac Allister of Liverpool. The Argentine midfielder who has just won the Copa America is linked with a move to Real Madrid, as they seek to bulk up their world-class options in midfield.

However, Alexis Mac Allister's father has provided more light on the situation and his comments will both reassure Liverpool fans, while leaving Real Madrid fans hanging.
Speaking to AboutMSR (h/t Anfield Watch), Carlos Mac Allister said: “Alexis is performing very well at Liverpool, and this is the important thing to say at the moment, There are no negotiations from Real Madrid with Alexis, and the player will continue with Liverpool next season."
So, as things stand, there have been no official negotiations between Real Madrid and Alexis Mac Allister, or at least this is what his father says. This means that any concrete links between Real Madrid and the player cease to exist, but it doesn't mean Real Madrid's interest isn't there.
There is some positive light for Real Madrid fans, though. After all, Carlos Mac Allister did not rule out a future move for his son to Real Madrid, or any club. He followed up by saying: "If future offers arrive to sign Alexis, we will discuss them with Liverpool's management first.”
Alexis Mac Allister has proven to be a big game player. First breaking onto the scene in the 2022 World Cup, when Argentina lifted the trophy, he was a pivotal member of the team. He proved it yet again, by shining at the 2024 Copa America.
