The biggest news surrounding Real Madrid this year is, without a doubt, the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. Although the transfer is yet to be confirmed, all the signs are pointing towards the Frenchman joining Los Blancos for the 2024/25 season, since he is out of contract at the Parc des Princes.

Currently, Kylian Mbappe is under the management of a Real Madrid AND Barcelona legend, Luis Enrique. The Spaniard spent a lot of time with Real Madrid as a player, but started his managerial career with their La Liga rivals Barcelona, for their B-team before returning to coach their first-team. Now, he manages at PSG since 2023.

So, Enrique has had just over half a season of coaching Kylian Mbappe. Will he miss the Frenchman when he imminently joins Real Madrid? Apparently not...

According to Get Football News France, Luis Enrique has outwardly stated that he has high aspirations of Paris Saint-Germain next season, regardless of the players he signs or sells. In his own words, Enrique said: “I know that if everything goes well, next season, we will have a better team from all perspectives: offensively, defensively, tactically. I have no doubt about it.”

Of course, Enrique didn't outrightly mention Mbappe but I think we all know he is alluding to this transfer, since it is the biggest deal of the decade so far and it has the potential to rock the sporting landscape.

It is hard to imagine how PSG could improve their attack if they lose Kylian Mbappe. Currently, the only attackers who are on the same level, or better than Mbappe either play for Real Madrid or they are happy and content at their oen respective clubs. Of course, they could improve in other areas of the pitch and given the experience Enrique has, he will know how to overcome such a big loss.
