Real Madrid have not been the best in the world when it comes to giving a real chance to their youth standouts at the senior level. That has resulted in many of them leaving the club in search of regular football and plenty have succeeded in proving themselves. Could we see a few make a comeback in the future?

Last summer, Fran Garcia returned to Real Madrid following a positive spell at Rayo Vallecano. Now, it looks like the club have their eyes on another former left-back, who they parted ways with not too long ago.

He is having a standout season right now and seems to be on Los Blancos' radar. As reported by MARCA, the return of Miguel Gutierrez, like that of other players with an option, is under study.

Gutierrez left Real Madrid in the summer of 2022 to join Girona. He might be the best left-back in La Liga based on current form.

Real Madrid are believed to hold a 50% sell-on clause in Gutierrez's deal with Girona. Of course, that makes a return much easier to pull off as well, if the player is open to the idea himself.

Of course, one cannot overlook Ferland Mendy's strong performances in recent times. But the fact of the matter is that the Frenchman has constantly struggled with injury problems during his time at Real Madrid.

His current deal runs out in the summer of 2025. And it is believed that he has not been offered an extension yet.

Rumours have suggested that the club are ready to part ways with Mendy in the summer. If that turns out to be the case, then it would become necessary for them to sign another left-back. Garcia has not convinced since arriving.
