Guti names one Barcelona player he'd sign for Real Madrid
It looks like Barcelona will be tough competition for Real Madrid this season, as Carlo Ancelotti's side look to defend their La Liga crown. Hansi Flick's team have made a blistering start to their campaign while Los Blancos still seem to be gelling after adding Kylian Mbappe to their starting XI. That has allowed the Catalan giants to take a four-point lead in the title race after just five games.
One player who has been at the centre of everything for FC Barcelona this season is Lamine Yamal. After helping Spain to the EUROs in the summer, it looks like the youngster has taken his game to the next level.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, Yamal has scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 5 appearances so far this season. Overall, he has already played over 50 times for FC Barcelona and 16 times for Spain.
Those are mind-boggling numbers. Most players of Yamal's age would struggle to get into the starting XI of mid-table teams. And here is, already competing with the best in the world and getting the better of them.
Guti names one Barcelona player he'd sign for Real Madrid
As reported by Tribuna, in a recent interview with AS, Guti was asked which Barcelona player he would sign for Los Blancos. Without hesitation, he named Yamal. When asked if the Spaniard is among the top three players in the world right now, the Real Madrid legend said:
"With what he does on the pitch, definitely yes."
That is certainly a bold claim. Especially coming from someone like Guti, who played for Real Madrid for so many years and with some of the best players in the history of the game.
That being said, it might be a bit too early to put Yamal in that bracket. But if he can perform like this throughout the season. he belongs.
