Real Madrid have been home to a lot of superstars over the years. The most recent name on that illustrious list is that of Jude Bellingham. The Englishman joined the club in the summer from Borussia Dortmund. He was the reigning Bundesliga Player of the Season and expectations were high from the beginning.

Nobody could have predicted how well Bellingham would go on to do at Real Madrid though. He has taken his game up several levels since arriving at Santiago Bernabeu and is arguably the best player in the world right now.

Real Madrid are expected to make a Galactico signing in the near future. Kylian Mbappe seems like the most likely candidate. But is looks like one of Bellingham's former teammates could make the switch as well.

That is none other than Erling Haaland of Manchester City, the best striker in the world. It looks like Bellingham is trying to convince his former Borussia Dortmund teammate to come to Real Madrid.

As reported by Cadena SER, Manu Carreño said:

"What I get is that Bellingham and Haaland are speaking almost every week. Bellingham calls him and he tells him to come to Real Madrid. They already met at Dortmund and it seems that Haaland doesn't like Manchester very much."

It remains to be seen what the future holds. There have been some interesting rumours which have cropped up in recent days, including one which suggests that his release clause might be €100 million for clubs outside of England.

In the past, it was believed to be almost twice of that figure. Of course, €100 million is a significant figure but for someone like Haaland, it would be considered a bargain fee.

Haaland has been arguably the best player in the world since joining Manchester City. He helped guide them to a treble last season and many believe he should have won the Ballon d'Or ahead of Lionel Messi. Could he end up leaving the club for Real Madrid in the near future?
