Jude Bellingham nicknames Real Madrid star after Man United legend
By Kian Long
Jude Bellingham is a breath of fresh air at Real Madrid. His obvious on-field quality to one side, he is a revelation to the dressing room and a key focal point of the friendships in the Real Madrid squad. He appears well in interviews and he is often championing his Real Madrid teammates, wanting their success just as much as his own.
In the recent UEFA Super Cup win, Jude Bellingham's was Real Madrid's best player. He didn't score but played a key part in both goals, even playing an assist for Kylian Mbappe's first ever Real Madrid goal.
Speaking of Mbappe - The other summer signing, Endrick, was an unused substitute, so he is awaiting his competitive debut. However, Endrick was still championed by Jude Bellingham after the Super Cup win.
Jude Bellingham nicknames Real Madrid star after Man United legend
As per a report from GOAL, Jude Bellingham has handed Endrick the nickname "Bobby", which is likely a reference to one of Endrick's sporting heroes, Bobby Charlton.
Not many people would have guessed that Chalton, the Manchester United legend, was one of Endrick's childhood heroes. Charlton is one of the best footballers of all-time, granted, but he was way ahead of Endrick's time. In fact, Charlton left Man United, where he was mostly recognised as a player, 51 years before Endrick signed for Real Madrid.
Regardless, Jude Bellingham, who is English himself so will understand the legendary status which Charlton holds in his country, paid a testament to Endrick, commenting on his Instagram post "Vamos Bobby!!!".
Unsurprisingly, Jude Bellingham's comment was the most liked comment. It shows the togetherness and personality within the Real Madrid squad and that at the end of the day, they are all just people too. It's hard to believe, considering they win everything in sight, but part of the reason why is characters like Bellingham making every player, at every level, feel welcomed in the club.
How do you think Endrick's first season at Real Madrid will go?
