According to a report by La Stampa (via 90min), Juventus have emerged as a shock potential destination for Toni Kroos. The Real Madrid midfielder runs out of contract at the end of the season and is on the lookout for his next destination, if he doesn't commit his future in the footballing capital of the world.

Having already addressed the unlikelihood of returning to his former club Bayern Munich, Toni Kroos could complete his European tour by playing in Serie A, which has been home to some incredible midfielders.

Toni Kroos is an all-time great midfielder

Toni Kroos is undeniably one of the all-time greatest midfielders. Having won everything there is to win in the game, it truly doesn't matter where Kroos retires, he will be known as a legend. In a similar move to his old teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, Kroos could be interested by the Juventus opening.

For Real Madrid, they are fairly stacked in the midfield department, which probably explains why they haven't pushed harder to secure the long-term future of Toni Kroos.

Kroos is 34 years old, meaning his best years are behind him. However, do not be fooled as Kroos still has plenty of oil in the tank. While he may be physically deteriorating, the technical ability which he has become renowned for across Europe will never diminish. He could certainly be a success in Juventus, as they plan to dominate the Champions League once more.
