Defenders

Eder Militao - Keep. Militao was missed by Real Madrid when he became injured part way through the season. Now he is back, he is one of the strongest defenders available to Ancelotti.

David Alaba - Keep. Again, his season has been plagued by injury but he will be excited to commence again in 2024/25.

Antonio Rudiger - Keep. Stepped up to the mark amid all the defensive injuries this season and has proven himself as a great defender. Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan, so Rudiger is more than likely to be kept.

Fran Garcia - Keep. Fran Garcia is not a sure starter but he could be a valuable squad player. With Mendy potentially on his way out, Ancelotti should keep Garcia as a worthy rotational player.

Dani Carvajal - Keep. Carlo Ancelotti will be wary of Carvajal's contract expiring in 2025 but it is standard practice for Real Madrid to keep their club legends. Besides, Carvajal has plenty more to offer.

Nacho Fernandez - Sell. Nacho is a club legend and the captain of the club but with his contract expiring in 2024, it is not worth Carlo Ancelotti extending his stay, particularly with key defenders returning.

Ferland Mendy - Sell. Mendy runs out of contract in 2025 and with talks of Real Madrid signing a new left-back, the Frenchman's days in the footballing capital are likely limited.

Lucas Vazquez - Sell. Like Nacho, Vazquez is a club legend with a contract expiring this year. For his own sake, he is better off being released to find game time elsewhere.
