The best player in the world on a free transfer, it seemed like a no-brainer for Real Madrid. What could go wrong? Well, at the moment, not much is going write for Kylian Mbappe. After his first three league games in the Royal White jersey, he has yet to score or assist. Los Blancos drew two of them and are already trailing FC Barcelona in the La Liga table.

It has not been for a lack of trying either. Mbappe has had 17 shots so far, 11 with his right foot, 5 with his left and one with his head.

Of course, it has just been three games. In the grand scheme of things, everything is fine. It is only natural for a team to take some time to adjust to a new system and for Mbappe to create an understanding with his teammates.

At the moment, one partnership that does not seem to be working is the one between Mbappe and Vinicius Junior. As a report from The Athletic goes on to read: "he at times appeared particularly disgruntled with Vinicius Junior — at least three times complaining that the Brazilian did not pass to him."

Videos of Mbappe seeming frustrated on the pitch have also gone viral on social media. Of course, all of these will seem trivial when he does find his form in a Real Madrid jersey, which is pretty inevitable if you ask us.

This is not a similar situation to Eden Hazard, where he is constantly picking up injuries. Mbappe's just finding his role in a new team, just like his teammates are trying to adjust to his game.

Of course, putting together the most talented team possible does not always work out. Mbappe will know that well, as his trio with Lionel Messi and Neymar did not produce the results that were expected of them. Hopefully, we won't see a repeat of that situation at Real Madrid. It is way too early for alarm bells to start ringing though.
