Man City team news
Bad news for Real Madrid but good news for Man City. According to the Evening Standard, John Stones' admission from the Premier League fixture at the weekend was merely precautionary, as he is expected to come back against Real Madrid in midweek.
Furthermore, key players have returned this week, including Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake. Therefore, it is expected that Man City have a fully fit squad to host this game in Manchester.
Real Madrid team news
To address the obvious, Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba will be missing in this match as they are not expected back in action until the 2024/25 campaign. Furthermore, Aurelien Tchouameni will miss the match through suspension.
In terms of other injury doubts, Carlo Ancelotti is blessed with a strong squad so he can put out a relatively strong lineup. There is doubt about Rodrygo, of course. He missed the domestic match at the weekend through a "knock" and while it is believed to be nothing serious, he faces a race against time to be fit for this important Champions League clash.

Man City vs Real Madrid prediction
If this game is even half as eventful as the 1st leg, neutral fans are in for a treat. Real Madrid and Man City have every reason to be confident, both hitting form at the crucial points of the season. I do believe that the away disadvantage could get the better of Real Madrid, though. I will go with a pessimistic prediction of Man City 2-1 Real Madrid. Hope I am wrong.
