Vinicius Junior is arguably Real Madrid's best player when on top form, although Jude Bellingham might have to say something about that. The Brazilian has had an up and down season so far, as he has had to deal with injury problems. But when the spotlight has been the brightest, he has delivered, with his hattrick against FC Barcelona being the perfect example.

There has been on-and-off speculation around Vinicius' future at the club though. We all know about the challenges he has faced in Spain.

On top of that, there is the possibility that Real Madrid could end up signing Kylian Mbappe next summer as a free agent. Both the French World Cup winner and Vinicius like to play in similar positions, which might make things complicated.

Amid all this talk, Vinicius has been linked with an unlikely move to Manchester United. It would take a world-record bid for it to even be a possibility though.

As reported by ESPN, to start conversations, at least a €250 million offer would be needed. However, Real Madrid are not thinking about negotiating for Vinicius.

Of course, the current transfer record stands at the €220 million-plus transfer fee that PSG shelled out to sign Neymar from Barcelona all those years back. Manchester United will need to surpass that figure to even have a chance of signing Vinicius.

Vinicius is not having his best season but has still been important for Real Madrid in the final third. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 9 goals and provided 4 assists in 17 appearances in this campaign so far.

A move to Manchester United seems unlikely for Vinicius. On the other hand, let's see how things play out in the Mbappe transfer saga.
