Real Madrid have a fantastic track record when it comes to signing Brazilian wonderkids and developing them into superstars. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are key parts of the team now and it is expected to remain that way for years to come. On the other hand, Endrick will be arriving in the Spanish capital next summer and it would be an understatement to say that big things are expected from him.

Real Madrid have been linked with another Brazilian wonderkid in recent times. One who has made a significant impact since arriving in La Liga.

The player in question is Savio. He is currently on loan at Girona from Troyes and has played a major part in the club's unexpected run at and near the top of the La Liga table.

Still just 19 years of age, Savio has been one of the best players in Spain this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 6 goals and provided 7 assists in 24 appearances for Girona so far.

While Real Madrid are believed to be interested in the Brazilian winger, they are not leading the race to sign him. As reported by the Daily Star, Manchester City are in pole position to sign Savio

It is worth pointing out that both Troyes and Girona are part of the City Football Group. That is expected to make a move easier for Manchester City to pull off.

Someone like Savio would be a brilliant signing for Real Madrid. But it does feel like Manchester City are heavy favourites to sign him.

Of course, Real Madrid already have a lot of talent on the wings and they might be on the verge of adding further. Santiago Bernabeu is viewed as Kylian Mbappe's most likely destination if he leaves PSG next summer.
