Manchester United and Chelsea are two of Premier League's top clubs. And both of them find themselves in the middle of tough times. It had looked like the Old Trafford club were in the right direction under the management of Erik ten Hag, but things have gone south for them this season. On the other hand, the Blues have suffered a dramatic fall since the change in ownership. Could one of Real Madrid's most experienced players be the solution for either team?

Real Madrid have seen quite a few players leave in recent times despite their lack of depth. Ferland Mendy could join that list soon.

Mendy has struggled with fitness issues for a long time. On the other hand, it is believed that Real Madrid are looking to sign a long-term left-back, with Alphonso Davies being heavily linked with the club.

So, Mendy could see his Real Madrid career come to an end soon. It does not look like he has any lack of top options, despite fitness struggles though.

As reported by Fichajes, Mendy has become a target for several top teams in Europe. Three potential destinations have emerged as notable options for the Frenchman. They are Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Of course, Mendy's injury history will be a worry for any club trying to sign him. But on top form, he is one of the best full-backs in the world, especially when it comes to the defensive side of the game.

Bayern Munich are another club seemingly in contention to sign Mendy. Davies' future there is in doubt, with his current deal running out in 2025. Real Madrid are looking like his most likely destination. Perhaps the Frenchman could even be included as part of a deal to sign the Canadian international.
