A few Real Madrid players have moved to Manchester United in recent years. Raphael Varane made the switch to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021, when it had looked like the club were on the verge of challenging for the Premier League once again, following a very promising season under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. We all know how that turned out.

Casemiro joined Manchester United in the summer of 2022 out of the blue. To be fair, his debut campaign in England was very good. But things do not seem to be going as well this time around.

It is expected that Varane could head for the exit door soon. And now, it appears that he could be joined by Casemiro on the way out.

The Premier League club look set to listen to offers for several players in January. As reported by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are open to selling Varane, Casemiro, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek.

Considering the current circumstances, it looks like leaving Real Madrid has not worked out for either Varane or Casemiro. As for Los Blancos, they do lack depth in several positions across the pitch, but it is unlikely that they would be keen to bring the club legends back.

Real Madrid are focused on building a team for the future right now. Neither Varane nor Casemiro would fit that category.

Both of them were tremendous during their time at Santiago Bernabeu though and played starring roles in a lot of the club's greatest ever successes. We can only wish them the best of luck for the future and hope that things work out well for them, whether that be at Manchester United or somewhere else.
