Real Madrid do not have much squad depth at the moment. Despite that, there are several players at the club who have an uncertain future, either due to a lack of playing time or a contract that is running down. Not much movement is expected in the upcoming January transfer window, especially when it comes to exits, but nothing should ever be ruled out in football.
In the summer, Brahim Diaz was hyped up as being like a 'new signing' even though he has been a Real Madrid player since 2019. The Spaniard did spend the previous three seasons on loan at AC Milan and did develop into one of the best in his position in Serie A.
So, expectations were high surrounding Brahim. Even though a lot of top clubs were linked with him, Real Madrid did not part ways with the Spaniard. Things since then have not gone as smoothly as expected.
Brahim barely played at the start of the season but with the team dealing with a number of injuries, he seems to be in Carlo Ancelotti's first-team plans and has gotten a decent amount of playing time. His numbers are pretty solid as well. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 17 appearances and 665 minutes of football in the ongoing campaign.
Newcastle United ready to make €60 million offer for Real Madrid player
As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Newcastle United are interested in Brahim. They are keen on signing him in the January transfer window and are ready to shell out a €60 million fee to do that.
If an offer of that magnitude did indeed come in, one would expect Real Madrid to consider it. After all, Brahim is not a starter for the club when everybody is fit and available.
That would be a significant transfer fee to receive for a squad player. Let's see how things play out in January.
